Yeah really. Vibes really hold their value. $1500 is a steal.

Such a steal that if you are Catholic you need to go to confession. :D

Welcome to GenVibe ... George! How are you obtaining this Vibe for such a LOW price? Salvage title? Hail damage" Flooded car? Family member? We're curious to know. Post pics when you get a chance.

Family member deal. My wife's mothers husband bought it new. Still have the original window sticker.
Vibe ended up being the "extra" car and sat in the yard unused & unloved. Not a thing wrong with it other than mouse smell.

O.k. that is more of a gift rather than a steal.
Not a thing wrong with it other than mouse smell.
I had to deal with that once in my wife's Ford Contour. Without going into the gory details, eventually I took the whole interior out. I pulled the nasty sound insulation from under the carpet and replaced it with carpet padding. I deep cleaned the carpet with Bissell Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner. Rather than using the Bissell machine I used the garden hose and a floor scrub brush to rub the cleaner stuff into the carpet. I did it at least 3 times. Then I used the machine to vacuum off most of the water and I dried the carpet hanging over a fence in the back yard.
I used the Bissell machine on the seats. And I sprayed Febreeze on the headliner.

The good thing about the Vibe's interior: it is really easy to pull out. I cleaned the Vibe's carpet as well.

Of course it all depends where you find the animal's carcass. In another car I found a dead mouse in the blower.

Have fun!

I tried posting pictures. Way too much work. The mouse nest is in the blower vent somewhere. Hopefully I can get it out with a vacuum.

Welcome aboard, George. '05 was a good year for the Vibe, and like everyone else has already told you, you got a fantastic deal on yours. Awesome that it's a stick, too! Enjoy it!

Mouse nest smell neutralized with a shot of mouthwash into each vent.

Neutralized? You mean you covered it up. Those mouse remains are still there.

No, not dead mouse. Mouse urine.
