How hard is an abyss to keep clean? I know black is hard, but not all black is the same. What do you do to keep it shiny?

neptune stays clean for about 1 day, then the same (dust). From far away, you can't tell it's dirty at all, and at night, its spiffarific. i have a been victim of keying, and when it's clean, it stands out like a big mole on someones face

It is hard to keep the dust off. But seemingly much easier to get dirty!!!

Go buy a California car duster! These things are wonderful! It takes about 2 min. to go over the whole car! It takes the dust right off. Brilliant! When washing and waxing, I use Meguiar's Deep Crystal System. It removes minor scratches and swirl marks. The three steps take awhile, but the results are AMAZING!Definitely invest in the duster, though.

Yes, I agree with those dusters. They work great. At first I was worried it would scratch the finish, but I haven't found any. It is a quick and easy way to keep your car looking clean in between washes. Rain/water will make it more difficult to remove the dust once it has dried, but works great in dry seasons.Later,

I guess I should open mine up and try mine. I've had it for about a year now and I keep forgetting I have it!

I would have to vote yes on the keeping it waxed. I waxed back in June and I think it's wearing off. Had a trip to SC from Illinois. SInce getting back I have power washed it twice but couldn't hand-wash. Now before the trip, a power washing would clean most of it decently but it's been having this film start up. Almost like the Algae on the inside of a fish tank. Like it, not actually algae. Anywho, I think it's time for a wax.It does show the dust but as long as it's even and no one write "Wash Me" on the side, it's not too noticable. I use the side view mirror as my gauge... when it doesn't shine enough, time to wash. If it's just dust, I don't like to dust the car off, I just go to a wash place and rinse it off with a no-spot rinse then dry. I want to try one of those spray detailers but for now, this works for me.Dave
