2009 Vibe Antenna Removal

I have an 2009 Vibe, and the Volume Control is bad. I plan to replace the unit with an aftermarket unit. I tried to remove the factory unit, but cannot disconnect the antenna from the back. I don't want to pull too hard, and break something.
Is the antenna connection just tight, or is there something that I need to do to disconnect it?
