I just ordered a Gt spoiler for my 09 base ..
I am thinking to take the roof racks off and paint them black too..
Anybody painted there roof racks , any pictures ???
Anybody ever take them off , instruction how to do it ???

Meta-member. Down here in the states there are very few 2009-10 Vibes with the roof racks. I think they only came with AWD Vibes and I bet that out of every 100 - 2nd gen Vibes that I see, there might be ONE roof rack With that said I highly doubt that anybody has painted them yet. Somewhere on this forum there was a member who installed the Matrix roof rack onto their 2nd gen Vibe and provided several photos of the process. The Matrix resembles the Vibe first gen roof rack and looks much better. Anyways if you can locate it I'm sure it will answer your question. Looking forward to photos of your spoiler when installed!

You right , now I remember when I bought my car I had to order the roof rack extra..
I like roof racks , because sometimes I use it to carry pipes or step ladder on it...
Anyways I got my spoiler on Tuesday and putting it on tomorrow morning with one of my Corvair Buddy...
Hope everything goes well , when it is done I will post some pictures..
I will see the car with them on and decide witch way I want to go...
Till then some picks on the rack in different colors...

This thread also has a couple pictures of a 2009+ Matrix OEM roof rack installed on a 2009-2010 Vibe.

There is a silver 2009-2010 2.4L Base Vibe around my area that has the OEM roof rack and it looks really goofy IMO. I definitely prefer the color and style of the Matrix roof rack.

Metaxa44, the GT spoiler looks great on your Base Vibe! It really adds some sportiness to the exterior !

I parked beside another red Vibe the other day , and could not stand not taking a picture..LOL...
