Newbie with a Neptune

Hi all! I recently bought my first used car... and it's a Vibe! I'd like to thank this community (which I consulted on my search) for 'steering' me in the direction of this wonderful wagon. Attached are some pictures. These are from the first day I bought it... It rained not 30 minutes after the title transferred, so it's a little dirty in the pictures. I think the rain has finally subsided here in Houston, so I'll come back with pics after I make it squeaky clean! It's one owner, 74k, 2006. The previous owner had been a mechanic (before his current job) and took extreme care of the car. I have never considered myself 'mechanically minded', but I hope to keep as good of care as it for the next few years (partially why I'm here... Y'all will help me out, right? I'm seriously a car newb)

Welcome neighbor! Cudos for posting pics right away, and your location! Good looking Neptune for sure and it should be a good vehicle for several years. My son's 06 has about 70K on it, and it still runs and looks like new. But you need to get some tinted windows to deal with the Texas heat! I know a guy that does a great job, been doing it for ~30 years, depending on where you are located. Pic of my son's car, legal tint in fronts and darker on the rest:
Certainly ask away on anything. I've found out most people get answers or at least a good idea about the problem. I didn't know a lot about cars at first either, and learned it all from Chilton's manuals way before the internet. I had to do everything myself as a poor high school/college student! Now I've done just about everything, except rebuild a motor, which is next on the agenda for my Mustang.
Good luck with it!

Welcome, They!
Nice Neptune! I remember how excited I was about my first car: forest green VW 1300, 40 bhp and air cooled. That car was a good teacher....I hope you don't have to learn as much as that car taught me.
