3M Sound Deadening Pads

Hey guys I thought I would pass this info down. I stumbled onto this while browsing through the DIY auto section of popular mechanics. Maybe a cheaper alternantive to Dynamat. I know that stuff is pretty pricey. I might use it for the hatch area when the wheather cools.

Holy shmoly, that stuff is 1.1" thick and weighs 1.6 pounds. you could kill more than sound with that!

Oh wow, I didnt even realize what the thickness was

probably wouldnt be ideal for doors, not much clearance between the door & door panel. Sounds great for floorboards & hatches

Try Peel and Seal from Lowe's or U-Seal from Home Depot. Peel and seal is in my doors. I have also put a layer of carpet pad on the inside of the door panels. Don't forget the cut out for the speaker

. I am still amazed how good the "tunes" radio sounds. I rarely have to go above 2.5 bars on the volume.
