Powered Subwoofer installation? Please Help!

I just purchased the Hideaway Kicker Compact Powered 8" Subwoofer. I've read up on it and heard that the connection directly into the head unit doesn't produce the quality sound of a connection directly into the speakers. I haven't installed a powered sub before though and I have a few questions.

1) I will be putting this under the passenger seat and I need to wire the cable under the trim on the passenger side up through the firewall to the battery in the engine. What is the best way to connect it to the battery?

2) The rest of the cables need to be wired into the speakers. I have four pioneer speakers. Do I need to connect to all four or just one left and one right speaker?

3) My last question is about grounding. From under the passenger seat, where is the best place to ground the subwoofer?

Sorry, I have little knowledge of how to do this. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Here's the manual from crutchfield:

1) Used a Ring Terminal, looks like an O that you crimp/solder onto the end of the power wire. It then gets threaded on to the battery post thru bolt.

2) page4, says you need to connect to each speaker, or get the adapter and use the RCA outputs on your headunit.

3) Look at the space under the passengers seat front mounting bolt, should be bare metal. If not just scrape away the paint and use that.
