What does this device do? Will it work on a base model 2006 Vibe with standard engine?

It's a fuel and ignition controller. A piggyback ECU for modifying fuel trims and ignition maps.

This will work on the Base Vibe, but you will require a different harness.

We were all ignorant at one point, don't worry.
