Hello,

I'm new here! first Post!!

Anyway, any chance you have the stock radio? We have an '06 Vibe, bought new, and its interior has a ton of wear and tear (nothing serious, just annoying), and the radio seems to have taken the brunt of it (many of the button faces are worn off, the tuning knob is erratic, and some pixels on the LCD are dead).

My understanding is that the basic radios from all '03-'08 models are interchangeable, and that pre-2005 models have a tape player. Is this true?

I'm not looking to spend much, as I'm on a tight budget.

I'm in Northern California, a few hours north of San Francisco.

Thanks,

c

Look on E-bay, someone has a radio for sale for $30.00 plus shipping.

Also search for Vibe radio bezel I have seen just the front bezel plastic with the buttons for sale on E-bay before.

However, you can upgrade to a newer radio, direct plug in, and gain extra storage space.

You can tell a female owned vibe by the scratch marks behind the door handle.

(longer finger nail scratches behind the door handle)

(Maybe the fingernail polish remover took off the buttons.)

OK, thanks for the tip!

The buttons are not the victims of nail polish remover, I'm afraid. Just heavy-ish usage.

It's OK, and most of them still work fine, so I'll just take my time here to figure it out. I redid the LCD backlight, so I guess I'll just redo some of the buttons as well. It's a very simple design, actually. I like it very much.

So on to eBay I go!

I'm actually going to just buy a new radio from someone on here (whose name I don't remember offhand).

I will keep the current one, however, as I can still spruce it up with a nice new face and button set at some point.

Thanks!

Thanks, NascarXprt, but I think I already have one in the works.

However, if it has a cassette deck, I might be interested :)

Also, how much $$$ were you thinking?

Thanks,

c

OK.

By the way, what is the condition of the front panel? Mine's all ugly, as I mentioned. A few imperfections are OK, though (our current radio is pretty bad, so almost anything would be better).

If you wouldn't mind posting a picture or two of each radio when you get a chance, that would be great as well.

Thanks,

c

I'm sorry to hear that! i think that's more a important matter to tend to, so don't worry about being late!

Anyway, good to hear that about the buttons. Now that our Vibe runs almost like new, I want it to look like new as well, inside and out :)

It's slow going, but I'll get there!
