Finally! :D

Post by CatastrophicBlend »

Okay, long story short.....

I have been having some major issues with my vibe the past two days, and I have to say that this website is amazing. Very helpful threads! So I decided to join. :3

I have a grey 05 Vibe with the moon and tunes package, and it is the best car that I have ever had. (This coming from a person who has had about 6 different cars in her lifetime)

I want to make some upgrades and such but I am going to start cosmetics first.

I never knew there were so many vibe enthusiasts. I thought I was the only one!

I will try and post some pictures of my car soon. Just have to find a good day to take pictures of it. Lol.

It was strange. My car didn't start the other day. Looked at the battery and saw it was bad. Replaced the battery and my car started shaking really bad. Good news, the car started immediately. Bad news, along with the shakes, every time I let off the gas, my car would want to stall and I would loose some of my power steering. We looked at the serpentine belt, the powertrain control module which was a recalled part back in 2011 (good job GM. One of the only parts you made for the car and you screw it up! Lol.), motor mounts, the whole nine. After three hours this morning with three people, including myself, working on my car, we find that there was water in the tank...... >.>

My question - how does water get into the tank?

The most common way is if a gas station has a leak in their reserves. It rains a lot in Florida so it's common. This is the first time it has happened to me though. There are multiple ways it could happen. This was just the most logical explanation I had for what happened. Lol.

Welcome to GenVibe! Glad to hear you found us and that you got the issues with your Vibe cleared up. It's also nice to hear you're a girl and are so into your vehicle (coming from a fellow female :D)! I look forward to seeing pictures of your Vibe ;)!
