ok guys i broke my hood cable on my 03 vibe. My question is will and is the hood cable on the 03-08 matrix and corolla the same cable they used on the 03-08 vibe?If they are i know a guy that has 1 for free if i want it off his corolla.thanks for any help before i even try to remove it and fight to get my hood open.

villagetoyotaparts.com says they're the same part. You can bring up a diagram on both cars and the part #'s are the same.

Are you sure it's not just stuck? I had to work some wd40 into my 'hood hinge spring' area when it wouldn't open one time. If the cable isn't visibly cut, try pulling on the handle while someone else tries to open the hood.
