2004 Vibe almost no creep / lack of acceleration power

When putting the car in drive without applying acceleration, the car barely creeps. However, If I am in reverse backing out of a drive way (without gas) it seems effortless.

I am wondering what the cause of this could be. Overall it seems like there isn't a whole lot of power when accelerating. Over the last few months i've: placed intake manifold gasket, front O2 sensor, spark plugs (ngk irdiums), cleaned the maf sensor, replaced air filters, and put some gumout high mileage in the fuel tank.

The car is at 210,000 kms approximately.

Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks

I think this is a transmission problem. Maybe low fluid, if it's an automatic. Check the level ASAP. It takes Toyota IV if it's automatic.

Brakes could be dragging.

I had this problem a few days ago with my vibe. It's was a whole bunch of problems tolled into one. No creeping and my car shook. Not total loss of power steering, but it didn't work as well as it did when I hit the gas. 350$ later and a new battery, we found out it was bad gas. There was water in my tank. Run some fuel injector cleaner in it just in case. Best 3$ fix. Either Sea Foam or Heet works great. After you put it in your gas tank, it shouldn't take more than 20 minutes of your car running for it to kick in.

It might not be the exact problem, but it is good to put it in your car anyways. And if it does work, you just saved yourself a 200$ trip to he garage.
