Not sure if I should post here or in interior...

I've read in a few topics about checking the nuts holding on the hatch spoiler on my '09. I've checked the two that I can get to without removing the trim on the hatch, and found one was loose, and the other not even on the screw for the spoiler. My next step is removing the hatch trim, however, I'm not seeing an easy place to start nor have I seen a post about how to do this. Any advice would be appreciated.

I believe I have exactly what your looking for! Look over all these pics and you'll see there are FIVE very tight clips that need to come out. FOUR go directly into the metal hatch and ONE goes into the factory 3rd brake light assembly. These pics were taken when I made the custom 3rd brake light and I did not have a clue where the clips were located thus I broke one! You'll need a clip remover tool to do this properly. Hope this helps .......................... Tim

Thank you. I'll give it a try this afternoon.

Gave it a good tug trying not to break anything and couldn't get it to budge. May have to wait till one of those lights in the 3rd brake light goes out, and get it tightened then. Didn't want to break anything I didn't have to.

Well, never did attempt to get it torn apart on my own, but when I went to get the windows tinted, the place removed the top grey piece, and viola, there was one bolt not even on, and the other two loose, took a moment to tighten those up and put the loose one on, so no more loose spoiler for me.
