Bulbs!

Well,
I've not logged on for a mighty long time!
My Vibe is an 07 that I purchased new in 07, it now has 145,000 miles on it.

Except for headlights I've not replaced a bulb!
But.....
A family friend told me that my 3rd brake light is out.

This led to replacing it along with every other marker lamp bulb.
I figure if one is done after 7 years, they are all going to soon follow suit!

Not hard but some bulb holders are a PITA!!!

Tight and no room to work!

I had to move the battery to get the LF turn signal bulb replaced!

All in all...... Best and most dependable car that I've ever owned! (And I've owned cars since the 1960’s)

My brother had a Pontiac Firefly with 310,000 miles and never replaced a single bulb for the 17 year life of the car.

If it ain't broke why fix it?

I agree with the dependability. Our '06 has 161,000 miles on it. I replaced the front brakes twice (original calipers), a right front wheel bearing and we just did the clutch. The rear brakes are original but the drums have rusted to the point of falling apart. I'll be doing the rear brakes next week since winter finally decided to give us a break.

Well in my neck of the woods.........

FIX IT TICKETS!!!

Plus the hassle of being pulled over to get the darn fix it ticket!!!!!!

You see, I live in a part of New Jersey that has way too much money!
There is very little and very minor crime!
I'm the embarrassing minority that hasn't much money and lives in a 60’s Ranch!

The only entertainment for cops is to pull over cars for bulbs out or using a hand held cell phone !!!!'

The newer GMs require you to drop the front bumper cover to change any front light. Very intentionally, too.
