how wide can you go wheel/rim wise on a 1st gen vibe?

Im currently lowered on tein s-tech springs and looking for an aftermarket wheel that i like. I've been looking closely at XXR 522's and really like the look, I'd love to stay 16inch wheel for sake of not going heavy with more material but 5 lugs are only offered in 17 and up, (a Loooooot of wheel makers do this for 5 lugs just because most cars accepting that lug pattern are not going to be small to use small rotors/calipers, i believe the 16's for our vibes/matrix's barely fit and why there is an OEM 17inch option available.)
anyways, I want to run 17x9 with an offset of +25. Tire size most likely going to be 235mm/probably 45 as that will make the height from ground to top of the tire same as OEM 205/55r16's.
my dilemma however is the wheels are only offered in 5x120 and 5x114.3.
these are not Vibe lug patterns....
obviously i would have to run hubcentric adapters on all 4 wheels that are roughly 24mm wide.
basically a little less than an inch. gaaah!
as you can see, this is already turning into a nightmare, I honestly just dont know how much these wheels are going to stick out in reality which is something that concerns me.
THANKFULLY, pontiac has the vibes installed with wheel fenders so that should help some.
Does anybody know know what the Car width track is going to look like if it even works when all is said and done? If im doing the math more or less correctly I think it would basically be the same as adding 35-38MM spacers on my current OEM wheels or something. My brain hurts just thinking about this. Any input people can share would be great.
