I supposedly have 1 private message, but to view it I am being asked to download some program that apparently will replace my current tool bar.
I am not going to do that. So if you send me a pm I will not see it. s c h i n d l e r j e r o m e @ g m a i l

If you're referring to the Ad/Image below the GenVibe logo at the top of the page, do not click on that. I believe it is using keywords from the site to build ads and that one is very misleading. I will report to Mike K. and see if we can get it removed. The best way to get into your Private messages is through the User Control Panel or link right next to it.

I mistakenly assumed that this was a new part of the pm system. Thanks for the information - also thanks to whoever removed that scam.

what browser are you using? I'm using Chrome with AdBlock and AdBlock Plus (both are free addons) and they work wonders for removing ads.

i know firefox has addons also, see if they have an ad blocker that you could install. I often forget that alot of sites have ads cause I don't see any.

I've been checking over the past few days but if someone can get a screenshot of the offending Ad and post to this thread that would be helpful. It figures when I want to see it I have not yet lately.

Yes, thast is the ad.
Also - when viewing Genvibe past the topics screen in Firefox I am now getting a small font hard to read layout. I just tried using Internet Explorer and it is fine.

It's been literally years since I looked at the settings for the Google Adsense tool that displays ads underneath the banner. I'll review and see if it's possible to block that particular add. If I recall correctly, you have to block ads based on the domain name of the advertiser, which means that first I'll have to figure out what that is.

You can also click the "X" at the ad to never see it again, and you can click the ">" next to the add to get to a google page that allows you to complain to google about a misleading ad. But it really needs to be solved on my end, so I'll take a look and see what I can see.

I have blocked advertisements from "my mail viewer [dot] com". I think this should stop the specific ad in question from showing up.

Today GenVibe appears in the easy to read, easy to use format - don't know how, why it changed to the weird one, or changed back.

I'm still seeing them going to InboxViewerGo [dot] com.
