Can I dirve it wihtout the belt on?

Recently, the bolt on the tension pulley broke on my 2003 Vibe with 315K, it's the standard 4cyl. for the motor. I need to move the vehicle forward about 15 feet to get it into my garage so I can work on it. With all of the snow and ice this time of year pushing it is a bit difficult and it's an uphill grade from where it sits to my garage. I have already removed the belt and pulley so what I'm wondering is will I do any harm to the motor by starting the vehicle and driving it forward the 15 ft to get it into my garage without the serpentine belt on?

No problem at all. It will run off the battery power for quite a while.

2X, no problem. I've driven my truck that far without any liquid in the block!

Be prepared to remove motor mounts. Replacing that tensioner can be a PITA.

Hope the motor mounts in my 08 1zz FWD are not involved whenever I have to the tensioner.

I got it in the garage and have removed the mounts. Next weekend I will attempt the bolt extraction.

im late, but you don't want to go far w/o the belt as the water pump won't be running to cool the engine...

OP stated 15 feet.
Not an issue unless the OP does a full warm up of the engine prior to the over 10 foot distance to the garage.

Are you talking about the bolt to release the tensioner or the bolt that holds the tensioner to the block?
