Hi, have a 2009 2.4 auto fwd, there is a electrical burnt smell coming from heating vents. Also since it has been cold ( month of -20C to -40C) the car has been hesitating while under load and warmed up. I drive 100km one way to work and the hesitation seems only after half way or after. It will stutter once or twice and then work fine, sometimes as soon as I get to town and stop a couple minutes then start up and drive across town it stutters agian. Idle is good, starts good. The smell coming from the ducts is on and off quite strong and cannot be smelled in the engige bay. Any Ideas? Thanks for any help, don't feel like walking when it is this cold!!!

I'm not sure about the hesitation, but the burnt smell maybe coming from the resistor pack for the blower motor. Check your blower on all speeds to make sure it working correctly. If not I'd check and replace the resistor pack.

Well, It has warmed up last night and this morning. Car runs and works perfectly. Checked the resitor pack( bolted in ducting just past fan motor) and is not burnt. All fan speeds work. Any other suggestions?

Could just be the weather. Drop a bottle of Techron in the fuel system. There might be a bit of water in the fuel. When you can I would clean the throttle body and the maf.
