Is there another vibe radio that can play mp3 disks that will fit a 2003 model.

most vibe and matrix radios will fit in any vibe. you just can't install a OEM pontiac radio as the vibe has no security cable for the OEM security system. you can find vibe OEM radios on line most of the 05 and up you will have no problem. i had the 03 nav w/6shuttle in mine and can play mp3 just as long they are closed out correctly and not just transfered to a CD. i use roxy CD creator, find windows media just wouldn't create a disk that the unit would play. I had to replace my radio with a 05 Vibe 6CD in dash OEM vibe and find the same is true. hope this helps. Like i said you may just need to get a different CD creation program.

At one point they had an MP3 capable version of the typical AM/FM/CD unit that was used from 2003-2008. It was an option in the later years, maybe 2007-2008... It had 'MP3' on the face in big white letters.

Not sure what the product mix was like when new, it may be a needle in a haystack to find one of those if it was an infrequently ordered option

There was also someone here who installed a Scion Pioneer unit.

Though honestly at this point, it may be worth it to pick up an aftermarket yet stock-looking double-DIN.

Did any of the later radios have a 3.5 m input? Would the stereo with the 6 cd changer be a direct fit?

No 3.5mm connectors, however there is a sticky here on the board where people have modified theirs to add one.

The 6CD changer would probably work, provided it was out of a Vibe.

we bought 2005 vibe recently.
the display wouldn,t light.
my wrecked 2003 vibe radio fit right in.
