Hey, Does anyone here have one of those 3rd brake decals that lights up a word when the brake is hit. And if so what does it say???

got mine a month or so ago and says "Vibe"...

i got one that says "whoa whoa", which i think is stupid, i'm thinking about changing to "sheeyat"

I made up a test piece; just printed "VIBE" in the biggest text of the right font I could find in my computer toolbar, printed it out, blew it up a bit more in the copier and copied it onto a transparency. It looks pretty nice, but I think it would be better if it was a negative. I also put a couple of extra bulbs in the housing and wired them to the tail light circuit, so now I have a third tail light too.

True, raging, and I did use low power bulbs for that reason. Of couse the regular lights also have both tail and brake lights in the same housing in many vehicles, but the Law is a tangled web...

I asked him if he would do this. It's not something that is offered all the time as of yet. I'm sure if he got a couple more requests, he would make it available on his website.

Now all I need to pick is a message. Maybe I should do "Go Canada!"

Ryan now has the inside and outside applied 3rd brake lights on his site. The inside mount is the way to go.

My rear hatch tint is cut out for the CHMSL (Center High-Mounted Stop Lamp, that's the official name).

Yes, that is correct. The shop that did my tint removed the hood for the light. They then tinted over the opening in the glass. So yes, be very careful when you apply it and make sure it is what you want.

If it were right on the lens, it probably wouldn't show up as well. I wanted an inside the glass one, but I was afraid to ask Ryan if he could do that because I didn't want to be a pain. Mine says "Vibe GT".

My glass is tinted and I have the overlay and you can still see it just fine.

I want one that says "GenVibe.Com"....

Ragingfish,Did you ever get the decal for the 3rd brake light? I was curious to know if this is legal in NJ? Anybody know how to find out what kind of mods are not legal for your state? I've done a search of websites, but came up empty.
