Using the awesome post by Lancer (here), reading the other member's posts on their own CAI install, and recently closely inspecting the CAI installs at the NE meet, I finally bought and installed a CAI in my Vibe.This is the Injen CAI, BLACK colored model.Total installation time by myself: 1-hourThe toughest areas of the install in my opinion were the filter installation and wrangling the CAI tube to align to the throttle body due to the tight fit near the headlamp housing.I was able to use one hand on top and move the cai tube around and then reach under the front (disassembled) splash guard to push the filter onto the tube. Looks good Nick!. I installed one about a month ago on my base and I also am glad I put it on. I had assumed it would only add power in the upper rpm range, but it seemed to add more to the lower (2-4,000rpm) range than I thought it would.

May I ask how much this extra 10 HP cost?? I am sure the K&N filter added some horsies too.

I did notice a very very slight increase in response, but the HP gain from that filter is usually not noticable. A good mod, nonetheless though. CAI, much much better.

Pics look great Nick. I'll have to check it out in person at the Ohio meet. Might have to take a ride in yours, since I'm not completely sold on putting a CAI in mine just yet (I'm trying to hold out for the newly designed Injen CAI so it doesn't sit so close to the headlight housing).
