Yes, I've had the same problem quite a few times. Some pumps or stations are worse than others.

Hi MicheleNot too much of a problem with the pump staying on though I did notice the pumps with the heavy duty rubber gooseneck thingie (not the standard metal only) seems to not fit right. That has to be a universal thing though. I have noticed that the pump does kick off early on my Vibe. I know you're not supposed to top off but I do and found that I could put in nearly 2 more gallons before I started to see the gas through the vent holes. Ok, that might be a bit too full but I'm thinkin that's an awful lot of space left to be filled. I'm guessing maybe there is a longer tube to the gas tank than I'm used to. In any case, that's a lot of gas.Dave

hiya...hehehe, yeah... the first time I did that, I was used to going around 80 miles before it hit the quarter mark. I think I was still on full at 90. I thought I screwed up the float thingie in the tank. heheDave

Nope, Nope, Nope. Have your dealer check it out, it could be an emissions problem. I had this issue on my Vibe, it turned out that it was a vent from the topside of the gastank. It may just be bad luck with your gas stations, but I'm thinking that it is this. LAter, and I hope this helps ya out.Rob

I'm driving a 2003 Aztek at the moment (24 test drive). Yes I'm still getting a Vibe soon.. Just having fun driving other cars during the 24 hour test drive promotion. I got gas this morning and I couldn't still the handle all the way in or it would stop right away also. I finally found a spot in which it would let me set the auto pump and walk away...but it took a minute. So I think it is a pontiac thing
