I tried sending a private message for the first time. It shows that it is still in my "Outbox" rather than my "Sent Items". Does this mean it has been sent? If not, how do I indicate that I want it sent? Thanks for helping me out.

I think it stays in your outbox until the other person opens it, then it moves to your sent box. At least that is how it works on one of my other sites.
