Horn stuck on do to lighting

I have a 2010 Vibe. Earlier this year it was struck by lighting along with the LP tank it was parked next to (LP tank fire was put out with no major damage). The lighting strike scorched the drivers side mirror and caused the horn to be stock on so i removed the fuse.
I am trying to fix it with out taking it to the shop. I can still hear the switch in the steering wheel activate, so i am assuming it is the horn relay which i am having a hard time locating on the vehicle.
Where is the horn relay located and does any one have a picture of it?
Also is there anything else that may cause the horn to stay on?

The GM manual says the horn relay is "non-serviceable PCB relay and are internal to the underhood fuse block."

It might be too late to make a claim, but wouldn't lightening strike damage fall under the "comprehensive" coverage of your auto policy? That typically has a $100 deductible.

No. I'd either make an insurance claim or replace the fuse box myself.

(assuming 1.8L base)

Seems to be 19204466. I have no idea how complicated it would be to replace it or the PCB that may be inside it.

I would try to wire around the original relay and add a new relay for $5.

Have you check if the side power mirror still works as well as the Windows and the door locks....
If the fire was at the mirror I would check to see if the wires are okay and there is no electrical shorts within the door.

When they say that there is no servivable parts in the relay... means that you must replace it (unplug it from a socket. ...It says in my BIG service manual of the 2009 Vibe.....Horn always on....Remove the horn relay.
IF you have the manual....Pages 4-46....is the diagnostic for the horn.

I haven't really looked at the fuse box so I don't really know which one it is....Horn relay PCB.

It is the GM Service Manual for the 2009 Vibe. It is a three book (three NYC phonebook) size set. About $150.00 from Helm, Inc.... who makes them for GM. I purchased it at the time I got the Car.

I see it is still available for $200.00 now

I have AllData, which is basically an electronic copy of the GM manual. Hm.

For the 2.4L, AllData says "If the horn is always ON... replace the BCM."

I think I'd go and remove the current BCM and look up its part # on eBay.

The BCM I think is the "Body Control Module" Yes, it is in the main horn circuit between the horn Switch and the Horn relay. (Horn PCB relay) as noted in the wire diagram

The Horn relay is in the Fuse Block and is under the hood.

There is also a Vehicle Interface Unit. This and the BCM have what looks like an internal switch to ground such that if On may make the horn work.....These may be for the Alarm system...if you have that.

The BCM is also in the Fuse Block.

At the horn switch when it is pressed "on" it connects to ground. "OFF" Ground is disconnected.
When the switch is ON it energizes the Relay which allows voltage to past from the Horn fuse through the relay and then to the horn.

With the Horn Fuse removed, Do you loose other functions such as the door locks?
