2003 base vibe totaled.
just bought 2005 base vibe.
2005 radio seems to have half the display blubs burnt out.
question =- is it easy to swap the radios ?

pretty easy, fully interchangeable
pull off the trim piece around the window, seems easiest on mine to pull the bottom out first
disconnect at least the wires going to the top of the trim piece, or all of them including the cable that pops you out of recirc when you switch to defrost, and move the trim (bezel) out of the way
remove four 10mm bolts holding the radio brackets tot he dash, 2 on each side
Pull the radio out (may need to cut a ziptie to get enough movement in the radio wires)
Disconnect the wires and the antenna from the back of the radio.
reverse to install the new one, except you can skip re ziptying the radio wires if you like
