All right guys you know that plastic table thing on the back of the passenger seat? Well mine completely fell off. I bought my vibe used and apparently those two plastic tabs on the bottom holding it in were broken. Does anybody know where I can find a replacement back? I've looked everywhere online and so far it has proved to be a fruitless endeavor...

Post pics of the damaged part if possible. Also which side are you talking about? Pass or Drive as they are different? Local junk yards should start getting stuff like this as our Vibes get older.

Tim, the seatback table is only on the rear of the front passenger seat .

According to this diagram on GMPartsCenter.net, you should be able to get just the clips (part #5 in the diagram) without having to get a whole new back. I would contact GMPartsCenter.net and double check with them to be sure though.

Thanks for that link! Unfortunately, I will have to get a new back as well... I would upload pics but apparently the file sizes are too big! The housing that the clip fits in is broken on both sides. Such a travesty!

Well, that certainly sucks that the seatback table itself is broken .

I would recommend checking out car-part.com to see if by chance you can find any 2009-2010 Vibes/2009-2014 Matrices in any junkyards near you. Unfortunately, I have a feeling any junkyards would probably want to sell the entire seat though, but you never know until you ask.

Just a heads up for you in case you end up deciding to buy a brand new seatback table. Check out GMPartsCenter.net's Facebook page as they pretty much always offer a discount code (lately it's been 5% off any order of $100.00 or more). It may not be much, but every little bit helps. Also, in case you're not familiar with their policies, they do not charge for shipping, but they do charge an $8.95 handling fee. Typically the 5% off discount is enough to at least erase that handling fee which is better than nothing. As I said earlier, I would definitely email them with your VIN to verify part numbers before ordering to ensure you get the correct part/s.

OK now I feel like an idiot I'll have to take a good look at mine tomorrow and get a better idea of just what I have inside my Vibe. Also it would help if I read and COMPREHEND the post before adding my remarks

Is it possible to just get a couple of nice looking stainless steel screws from a hardware store, drill holes in the plastic and screw them on? I'd think it would be possible, would not look ghetto, and for me I'd rather save the money.

So I took Kincaids advice and bolted it on. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to post pics but I used 5/8 inch bolts for the holes.
