Removing instrument cluster

Hi there - JUST got home with my new (to me) 2006 Vibe. I've wanted one for a long time, and the day (and the right car) has finally arrived. I noticed on the drive home from the dealership this evening that the instrument cluster appears to have water staining or some other defect/dirt INSIDE the instrument cluster, on the other side of the transparent window that you look through on the speedo, tach, etc. Weird, right? Well, not sure what that is all about but its really distracting at night so I want to remove the cover of the cluster to try cleaning whatever is on it. Any advice/steps to take this part off the dash?

Thanks!

Marc

PS - I really like this space - I'm learning a ton.

Welcome to GenVibe! Glad to hear you're happy with it. You remove the cluster by first, taking the bezel with the chrome trim on it, and pulling OUT. It will just pop off. The cluster is held in by one screw, and two clips. Undo the screw, and use the screwdriver to pry it free from the clips in the bottom right and bottom left corner. Then there will be a harness. The tinted cover clips right to the cluster.

Hope this helps! Enjoy the community.
