I'm new to forum and just had a weird thing happen to me with my car. I have had my car sine 17000 miles. I have a 2007 manual transmission. The car got sluggish all of a sudden and the check engine light is not on. I had the PCM replaced in 2011 and when I moved to another state I got a recall notice for the same part. I'm just wondering if fuel injection cleaner might do the trick or should I look into the PCM problem again? I love my car and its annoying when it acts like its gonna shut off like it did when I had the PCM replaced before. Any ideas???

Help!!!

You answered your questions. There have been instances where the replacement PCM has had problems like the one what was replaced.

Welcome to Genvibe! How many miles does the car have on it now? Is all the maintenance work uptodate? Is the floor mat under the accelerator? Is it making any weird noises? Check engine light?

Seeing as your check engine light is not on I would look into the PCM recall as an option. (see if they will replace it again)

How long has it been since your last fill up? Could be just a bad tank of gas.
I would clean the throttle body and MAF. Add a bottle of Amsoil PI Performance Improver or Chevron Techron and see if it improves. Sometimes these little thing will improve the response a whole lot. And if you do them yourself are inexpensive and easy to DIY. Your looking at possibly 30 dollars to do all three yourself. Possibly less.
