I highly recommend taking them up on this offer (I also did back in the spring when they ran a similar sale.) Pennzoil Platinum is a good oil and Meijer has it at a good price. I run this stuff in the Sonic and buy it there. But wait, there's more!

If one has signed up for Mperks, there's also a 20% off one general merchandise Mperk offer (expires tomorrow) that you could probably apply to it. Brings it down to a little over $7 after rebate. It takes quite a long time to get the rebate check, but they made it worth my wait by throwing in a $5 coupon for next time.

A few weekends ago, I bought a 5.1 qt jug of PP for the Sonic's second oil change. After price drop, Mperks offer, coupon from Pennzoil and then the rebate, it's $3.49. The oil filter will be the most expensive part of the Sonic's next OCI.

I tried subscribing to mperks. Looks like us Luddites are not welcome. My mobile phone only makes and receives phone calls. No texting, no internet.
Meijer just recently eliminated double coupons in the Columbus area. Looks like they have just eliminated me as a regular customer. I am sure Kroger and Giant Eagle will also soon eliminate double coupons as well. That makes Walmart and Aldi better options though I hate shopping at either. Actually I am not too fond of shopping at Meijer either - they have great specials but half the time they are out - very frustrating.

Well - while not clear on their website you don't need a mobile phone to participate in the Meijer mperks program. Got this email-

Although mPerks was designed for use with a mobile phone with texting, we welcome you to sign up using your current mobile phone or your home phone. Please note that you must have a valid email address to participate. You must have a computer with internet access to clip the coupons.

Here’s how to enroll:

1 – Visit mperks.meijer.com.
2 – From the homepage, click the “sign up now” button OR go to “Sign In” at the top right of the screen and select “Create Account” from the dropdown menu.
3 – Enter the required account information, including a 4-Digit PIN of your choosing. In the space provided for “Mobile Number,” please enter your home phone number.
4 – Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and acknowledge that you are at least 18 years of age by clicking on the box provided.
5 – Now select the button next to “Activate without text.” A new box will appear, signaling you to acknowledge the Meijer privacy policy and Terms and Conditions. Once you have reviewed this information, click on the box provided to acknowledge, and then select “Continue.”
6 – Call 1-800-313-2913 from the phone number you used to sign up, and follow the instructions to activate your account.
