Howdy,

After doing a lot of research and test driving an automatic "base model" 2007 Vibe, I'm interested in purchasing a 2006 Vibe GT in the Southeast (Columbia, SC). I'm replacing my '01 Nissan that had 85k miles, so I'm hoping I can find not much higher mileage than that.

Preferably white with grey trim and power windows. Are there any things I need to keep an eye out for / problems to expect from this year model? I was also considering the 2003 year model since I rather like it's styling and it's a little cheaper.

Thanks!

03 GT's were MUCH more popular....you'll likely find it a lot easier finding a used 03

keep in mind the 180hp (yes, they are all 180 despite the OEM literature) is all north of 6000rpm...if you're not going to put the car up into lift, don't buy one...itll be a waste of your time and money (and premium fuel)

my suggestion: drive an 03GT if you can find on and see if you like were the powerband is (its not for everyone). then drive a base 130hp model with a 5 speed manual

The small dealership I bought my car from (and other cars in the past) has a really clean one but it isn't a GT :-(
