03 Vibe 6 speed and the clutch is gone

Just bought a 2003 Vibe with a dead clutch for only $1000. The kid had replaced the clutch but not the throwout bearing or the flywheel.
It did not last long. I'm going to replace all three, but having a hard time finding OEM and not race. It will be a daily commuter and want it easier to drive then a race clutch.
Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Clutch kits for the GT are less than $200.

Does anyone know if the base flywheel and the GT flywheel are the same?

I think I've read that the stage one clutch is the way to go, because the stock OEM Clutch doesn't last very long with the power of the GT. Hopefully some GT owners will chime in :)

Cool Thanks. Well that might be why I'm finding race kits only. Rather do the job once even if it is a little harder to drive.

Factory clutch will last a long time. We have guys with over 100k on the original clutch.

As stated 1zz and 2z clutches are interchangeable but the flywheels are not. If your not doing any power mods stick with a OEM clutch. For a mild upgraded clutch with a OEM feel a ACT with HDSS will be fine, Right around 325 dollars. A lightweight flywheel would be better if you want to rev a bit quicker,

You necessarily have a 2zz if you have a 6 speed but it is most likely. Easiest way to fine out is whether your engine cover says vvt-i or vvtL-i. The L is for lift which means you have a 2zz. Additionally, the 2zz has an aluminum (silver) intake manifold and the 1zz has a plastic intake manifold.

Where is the stamp? I almost have the transmission out. The plastic cover is off but i'm not seeing stamps of any kind. Image

There is normally a black plastic cover on the top of the engine.

The intake manifold (the four tubes leading to the head) are aluminum, so it's a 2ZZ.
The intake manifold on a 1ZZ is black plastic.
