Hello all! I just got my new (to me) Vibe today and I'm very excited! While I was sad to see my 2004 Taurus go, I'm so glad I made the decision to buy this car, she's so fun to drive and I'm very impressed with all of the extra features that this car has! It has the moons and tunes package, and I don't think I've ever seen a household outlet in any other vehicle!
My only question is, is it OBD II compliant? I've looked everywhere and I can't seem to find any definite answers. I would like to get an EcoMeter eventually if I can.
Nice to meet you all, it's wonderful to be a Vibe owner~!

However they are the slowest cars ever. MPGs can be decent. Check your rear diff seals and fluid level, also check the transfer case fluid level ASAP. The have known issue with them seeping and frying the rear diff. A $200 fix will save you $2000 repair later!

I was kind of expecting my car to be sluggish, but it actually has a lot of pep! My car came straight from a dealer and they did a thorough engine/system check and detailing before I got the car. They had to order a few minor parts and I haven't received the maintenance report on it yet, but I will check that if they haven't already. I had mentioned the steering was a bit weird when I test drove it, but now it's fine after they did work on it.

Welcome--I'm new too (we bought ours 5 days ago). Red was my second choice colour (fortunately we found our first choice, fusion orange). Yours looks great!
Instead of an EcoMeter, have you considered plugging a Bluetooth OBDII dongle into the port, and using the Torque app on your Android device if you have one? Cheap, simple, no wiring, etc....

I have an iPhone, but I think I will go with the EcoMeter just for convenience sake. I don't want to have to unplug it and plug it back in, etc.

Just to double check and be sure before I buy it, will the EcoMeter absolutely 100% work with my car? Does my car have a CAN sensor?

Bummer, my car doesn't have a CAN sensor...too bad I had to find that out after I bought the EcoMeter. Gonna have to send it back.
