Sweet! Did you tie heat & a/c control into the computer?

Looking good so far. Details please ??? How many functions will be available on this "touch screen" in the Vibe? Curiosity is on all of our minds here. Could be a big hit if successful at this mod. Endless possibilities with the latest touch screen technology. Awaiting more details ......................................................................

Carpc's are a hobby of mine...big brakes, suspension and Carpc's are my usual modifications...
There are 2 major components to "car pc" . the "pooter" and the "input devices....A LOT more information can be found at mp3car.com
I bought an "8in 12 volt LCD touch screen", fabricated and painted the bezel out of acrylic sheets, got power from the cig lighter
The "pooter" is an IBM x60 on a dock and it lives under the passenger seat....basically ran VGA and RCA cables from the center console under the seat. I got a laptop car charger and ran power directly from the battery (with fuse and switch of course)
Alas I there is one shortcoming...the climate control as what's his face asked about...If i had more time and brains...I would've ran the climate control off servo motors controlled by the computer but I live in Northern California weather is pretty consistent and nice. sooo I completely deleted the mechanism....
There's a cable that controls under the glovebox which I plan on adjusting twice a year
There's another that controls the venting on the driver side...I plan on leaving that on legs and defrost but cable adjusting is easy to do
I plan on splicing a rotary switch to the Climate control wiring harness so I can turn the Fan on and off...so if anyone had wiring diagrams that would be awesome
i'm sick, more pictures soon...k bye

This was a great project but there was one major (minor to me) compromise...climate control. Northern California has great temperate weather so I just leave it on legs/defrost and heat. One could wire some usb controlled servos and control settings through the computer buuut ratio of gained convenience/functionality to effort will save this project for a rainy day...
My current "hot/cold" cable which will normally be tucked away under the glove box but still very accessible...I think it's currently set at hot (Passenger Side)
The "white thing" on the left is the vent how I control the vent (Driver Side)
Male side of the climate control wiring harness (Driver Side)
Front view of naked climate control module
Rear view of the actual switch and it's contact terminal, after the circuit board
Rear view of the actual switch and it's terminal
This is the an upside down front side of the climate control panel, notice the lights on the upper right and left [yes i am aware the right one (techincally drive side is missing)]
After a little multi-meter deductive reasoning this is the "wiring diagram" i came up with. Basically going to hook up a 5 (or more) position rotary switch. I am very open to suggestions on a discret location for this switch but hidden under the dash is also fine with me. It will have the following functions
- Carpooter On/Off switch,
Fan Off
Fan Low
Fan Medium
Fan High
