Greetings from new member!

As lucky owner of Pontiac Vibe FWD 4-speed auto (released in 2004 year) need some advice from knowers. I need to change my fuel tank but can not use orignal (GM) right now, can I use something else? For example fuel tank from some models of Toyota Matrix ?

Thank you for understanding and any opinions.

Fuel tank from Toyota Matrix should be a direct fit as they are basically the same car with different skins. Maybe try to get one from the same year/model/trans to be safe

Thank you! Another question: I read that fuel tank of Toyota Matrix (11.8 gallons) smaller than one of Pontiac Vibe (13.2 gallons), is it problem or not? I doubt about direct fit in this case.

11.8 gallon tank is from an AWD model (Matrix XR). You want one from a base Matrix or XRS, which should be 13.2.

Oh, thank you! It`s very useful information. I`ll try to ask dealers about those tanks.

Have you considered installing a USED fuel tank? You may be able to save a considerable amount of money.

Of course I visited some disassemblies but without any possible alternative. The reason I like to change my fuel tank is heavy corrosion and tanks which I looked at dissamblies like mine or worse.
