Water leak in roof / ceiling.

Following a heavy rain, my 2004 Pontiac Vibe, with roof racks but no sun roof, will leak water from the ceiling header where the side window meets the windshield, and land on the driver's left leg. The water tends to drop more when the car is accelerated. The windshield was replaced about 5 years ago.
What is the likely cause of this leak and how can it be repaired?
Thank you.

My best guess is that they did not do a good job when installing the windshield. They sell a type of windshield seal silicon which you could use to fix it yourself. However, I think that you should take your vehicle back to re-do the windshield installation job at least at the affected area. You need to take care of this problem quickly. Your vehicle could get rusty. Also, there are many electrical components on that side, so your problem could become worse. I hope that this helps!
