Tire Size

A colleague at work has some 235/50R18 Eagles. Tire rack doesn't recommend going up past 235/50R18s. Has anyone put those on a 09 GT? Or has anyone put bigger tires on a GT, and how did it work out? Thanks.

I don't have any experience with that tire size on your model, but it sounds like a really big tire compared to stock. Looking at the calculator confirms that.
They recommend no more than a 3% tire diameter variance, going from 215-45r18 to 235-50R18 is a 6.38% difference.
Nearly 1" wider, and 1.6"+ taller.
