Hey folks,

Every time I crank the wheel sharply to the left, I get a popping noise coming from my front end. It's now starting to do it as I turn right as well. I've taken my car in to my mechanic and he couldn't find anything wrong. I took it to another mechanic and they also couldn't find anything wrong. It's driving me crazy.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be?

The CV joints could fail be bad even though the boot is good and it really can't be inspected. Then it could be the strut bearing. It's a cap that sits on top of the strut that allows it to flex but not move. When it gets worn it will pop in and out of place with bumps or cornering.
