Wife got nailed by semi and run off the freeway. I have to get the pics hosted and will get them up soon. She walked away sore but unbruised. Car got the nose ripped off, hood and passenger side fender peeled up like a poor attempt to open a can of beans, rear side was driven into the trailer and pushed in about 4 inches blowing out the back side and rear windows. No airbag deployed as it was mainly side impact. When the side hit it cocked the front under the trailer in front of the trailer tires and it just ate it up rubbing on the front wheel and spit it in the ditch. She was passing and he moved over into fast lane to let a car in from an on-ramp, didn't see her. He got ticketed. He was a good guy and stopped. He really thought she'd be hurt bad. She was following another passing car. He saw that one but as it got passed him he didn't see her and moved over.

Two days later...2004 Blue Vibe in driveway :) That car took a heck of a hit and stayed upright and safe. It could have been run under the tires or started flipping over but no....good car. The new one had to be an 04 as I'm not partial to the 05-08 nose.

Have to change my sig.

Ouch !!! That brings back some BAD memories :o This exact thing happened to me in my "new at the time" 1992 F-150 (Accident took place May 1993). I was passing a large C-60 truck at a railroad crossing because they were going extremely slow. No brake lights & no turn signal indication at all. He did, however, OWN the road .... legally, as he was a rail road employee and decided to turn left into the yard exactly when I was passing him. YEP, I was cited, fined, court hearing & all (Feds showed up & made a big deal about it). $8000+ damage to my 1 year old truck & it's never been the same YET I still own it and drive it 500-1000 miles every year. Glad your Vibe protected those precious occupants :D Real sad to hear that another RARE Orange fusion is now history

I'm glad everyone's ok, and also glad that he DID look and he DID stop because he was worried.

Sucks to hear about the loss of the Vibe, but so glad your wife is okay. Also glad to hear the truck driver was concerned for your wife and all. And of course... extremely glad to hear the Vibe was replaced with another Vibe ! Looking forward to seeing pictures of the "new" Vibe!
