Yeah, with the size speakers that're in the vibe, a sub will definitely help... If you can afford it, i'd say change everything speaker-wise.. I'm keeping the Nav system, but adding two 10" subs and replacing all the stock speakers..

I thought the moon and tunes was adequate at first... but it was hella easy to pop out the speakers, tweets, and prop an amp under the old passenger seat. It even passed the ultimate test... driving with all the windows down on the interstate... You won't be dissapointed adding a little extra "bump"

i kept the factory moons and toons and added the subs and amp. i get complements on my system all the time. the highs and mids they produce are great if you ask me. when driving through the "ghetto" people often dance and raise their hands at my car when i drive by. there's nothing like your stereo making a flame on a lighter move back and forth...

I kept my stock deck for the low theft risk. I added my old Rockford amp and 2 JL Audio 12" in a ported box. I thought the stereo sounded very good for a stock system before. I had all the gear in my truck before and I missed it so I moved it into the Vibe. BASS=RATTLES My rear view mirror drops on the heavy bass hits, so I drive around with my mirror almost pointing at the floor.

my base rattled the screw out of the frame around the sunroof and map light buttons, i found it in the floor. is it me or do the subs seem to hit cleaner with the windows down?

IT's you ya drunk! Actually it might sound cleaner with the windows down, or even partialy down, as the pressure your subs create can escape and find better things to do other than rattle the bajeezes out of everything.
