Roaring and shaking in curves

Post by vibeit »

Help, my 2009 AWD Pontiac Vibe started to roar and shake when making a turn yesterday. What could this be? I bought this car brand new and never had a problem out of it. It now has 73,000 miles on it and has been maintained! Any suggestions?

Loose lugnuts? I don't know, hard to even make an intelligent guess without a better description.

Rear diff messed up? Have you check/changed the fluid? I know on the 1st gen those seals were prone to leaking

Does it only roar and shake when turning in one direction and not the other?
Does the roaring happen when going strait (only to a lesser extent than when turning)?

I suggest inspecting the wheel bearings and struts at all four corners.
