I have an 03 1zzfe. My catalytic converter is clogged. No part stores around me can order the part for me which mean I need to go to my unfriendly GM dealer for the part and pay between 1100 & 1300 for my cat. Could I just straight pipe it an do away with the cat without it hurting my car? Or my mpg?

It won't hurt the car, but it's against federal law so it's probably not a smart thing to do. You'll either pay for the cat now or pay for the cat later AND pay a fine...

Most muffler shops can replace cats, they just cut the old out and weld in a replacement.
Or you can DIY with an aftermarket bolt on replacement, check out Rock Auto.

Magnaflow makes a direct fit replacement. Don't remember what I paid for mine but it was not bad. Even bought mine from eBay.no welding required so diy if you're handy.
