Just purchased a 2008 Vibe with 48K KM's. Picking it up in the next day or 2 because of business holidays, etc. Looking forward to hanging out at GenVibe.

Welcome Stangman! Can I assume you also have a Mustang too? Sounds like a nice purchase, with low miles, I mean KMs! Post up some pics, we all like pics around here.

Instinct was telling me to check things out, even though I know the air filter was changed during the last oil change....nuts / seeds.

Also, can someone tell me what this is for? Found it in the back hatch where the spare tire is.

yep; while the piece with the rubber band is pretty useless, it helps hold the jack in place so it does not rattle around in your wheel well.

Nice Vibe... like the color! Car looks new. Now, where have I seen one of those before? Hmm, let me think.
Canadian Vibes come with nuts/seeds? Should be a survival option here in Maine, for those long Winters of ours!
Make sure you screen off the air snorkel end to keep those little critters from using your air box/resonator for lodging and food storage.

In Canada for 03/04 model years, monochrome cladding was extra $ so its rarer to see a monochrome one. From 05-08 they all came monochrome and it was extra $ to get the grey cladding....Ive noticed its REALLY rare to see an 05-08 with the grey cladding...

Welcome fellow Canadian! Great buy, manual or auto? I agree with The Barber, much more common to see 2005-2008 with the monotone paint. I've only seen a handful myself.

Wait, a sneeze made them swerve? I sneeze pretty hard sometimes when I'm driving but I don't swerve out of my lane...
I'd bet it was more likely texting.

I believe sneezing, bees,"sun was in my eyes", and "a dog ran in front of me" are the new terms for texting.

Sure. But give us some respect! At least wait for the allergy season to use this excuse.

Oh, wow, that is sad to see. At least you were not injured or something. Hopefully the insurance will give you a good price for it and you can find another one in good condition to replace it. I lost my 10 GT to a rear ender too. Lady said she was "looking for her chapstick in the console". Replaced it with my current 03 GT which is more fun because manual transmission. And lift!
Good luck on the settlement and car search!

Well, that certainly sucks

! Glad to hear you weren't injured though. Also glad to hear you want another Vibe! Definitely keep us posted on your quest to find another one
