2009 GT 5 speed manual MVC fluid change?

I have a 2009 GT 5 speed manual transmission (MVC code - I think). I am trying to change the fluid for a 60k service. The manual recommends that there is no need to change the fluid but hey a little Vibe love and preventative maintenance can't hurt anything. The problem I am having is getting to the drain plug bolt. The fill plus is easily accessible. I have been to Lowes 4 times now trying several different configurations of tools to try to get to the bolt. There is very little clearance being mostly blocked by the lower front suspension. Please help!!! Does anyone have any recommendation for tools that will allow me to get to the bolt and also be able to torque it back to 36 lbs. to finish the job?
Also, anyone doing this themselves and using Advance Auto be careful. Their parts recommendation wizard suggested using Penzoil's Syncromesh. I didn't think it was right so I confirmed with the manual to discover that the Penzoil should not at all be used but instead it requires a full synthetic and a different viscosity entirely. I ended up with Royal Purple Max Gear 75W-90. It was about 3x's the price but felt much more comfortable with the exact fluid required than to gamble on Syncromesh.
Now if I could only actually drain and change the fluid.
Thanks in advance GV!!!
