Little road trip planned

Tomorrow afternoon, we're heading to a "bichon bash" in Binghamton NY. (a get-together of an email List of Bichon Frise enthusiasts). We're taking our vibe, and filling it with 4 adults, 3 bichons (little white dogs), 4 collapsable lawn chairs, one electric cooler, two pieces of "carry-on" bags, and doggy sundries. Oh yes, and a laptop! It's a 3-hour drive (plus border crossing to the U.S.), so I HOPE we'll still be relatively comfortable with all that cargo!

quote:Have a great time and don't forget to monitor you gas milege!Inquiring minds want to know! LOL! I've monitered EVERY tank of gas so far! That's what I've been using Trip Odometer "A" for! My best mileage so far was 47.5 mpg, and the worst was about 28 mpg. A couple were about 35 - 37 mpg. The bad one was because we had had one trip with our canoe on top, and another with our bikes on the back. I think each of our calculations have had at least one trip with our bikes on.Of course, I buy in litres, and drive in kilometers, but I converted them to miles per imperial (not U.S.) gallons.I'll be gassing up before we go tomorrow, so I'll monitor it closely!

Hey I guess I'll admit I have a bichon too. Pretty cool seats for them.

Cute doggies! Is the Salsa on the pink side of the spectrum or is it just me?

Saw a Salsa Vibe this morning while walking to work... it does have a bit of a "rose" tint to it I think.

Looks like they like riding in the VIBE (or is it just any ride they like?) Looking forward to more pics! Hope the trip went well.

My salsa Vibe was bought to replace my Pathfinder which was my dog truck. I show Shiba Inu dogs for a hobby. I only wish that the vibe was 3" longer in the back so my crates could fit with the seat up. Oh well! I could get 4 crates in with the seats down but all I can handle at one time is 2 dogs. Too much stress at a show! Love the gas milage. Combined 27-30 with an auto. I got 16-18 with the Pathfinder

I think that's the perfect description of it. It's a nice, rich red. IMHO. And the best part is... our bikes MATCH it! LOL. (and, it shows off our white dogs well, too!)

This one had Ontario plates. So I'm sure it wasn't yours... besides I think it must live where I see it... I see it every day parked there. In fact I changed my route to work by a block (I walk to work) just so I could walk by it and look at it. Yes pathetic I know, but I really love Vibes.
