I am currently looking to buy a Vibe. I want a car that I can use for a variety of purposes especially to haul Bicycles. I have had an 04 GTO and currently have an 08 Solstice so I have been aware of the Vibe for some time. I have looked at a lot of different thing from mini vans to Mercedes R500s. It seems like the Vibe is hard to beat for the money. I am leaning toward a GT with a manual transmission. I hope to find one fairly soon.
I have enjoyed looking through this forum and have learned a bunch. Thanks

Welcome to the site! Definitely the best place for info while you're looking for your Vibe. I haven't had a chance to try out hauling our bicycles since I just bought mine in the middle of winter, but hopefully someone else has had some experience and chimes in. Between roof racks, a hitch rack or just piling them inside with the seats down, one way or another I'm sure it would do the trick.

Welcome to GV! I hope your search goes well. I'm also glad you haven't written off the Vibe like so many other Pontiac fanatics.

Like said above, the Vibe has plenty of places to put bikes. Roof racks work well, because not much else can be put up there. A hitch-mounted bike carrier works, too, and somewhere on the forum, a member made a system that mounted to the tracks in the rear of the Vibe, so they could mount their bikes there.

Wow, I hadn't seen the post Kitt was talking about for the internal rack but I think I just found it. Pretty sweet!

Welcome to the site. Hope you can find a good Vibe that will fit your needs. These cars are extremely useful, economical and dependable. Bikes will fit inside a Vibe, but make sure you can drop the bike seat down. My road bike has a mast, so the seat is pretty much fixed. The person I bought this bike from had a first gen CRV, and the bike fit in that vehicle, but not in my '08 Vibe.

Pop back in when you get your Vibe, or anytime. Always enjoy hearing from another new member!
