as a bunch of people know, i swapped my 04 vibe from auto to 6 speed last summer. its pretty much 100% done except for one finishing touch, a good looking shifter boot and kn0b. where could i get my hands on a oem shift boot, or just the retainer ring? i cant find a manual vibe or matrix anywhere around in a junkyard, and its quite aggravating. right now im driving around showing off the short throw shifter assembly and my cheapo autozone shift kn0b. i have a nice leather wrapped shift kn0b on the way, now all i need is a way to put the shift boot in and make it look nice and not bind up in the shifter, and not pay a ton in the process. thanks for humoring my lack of parts finding skills =p

sadly those dont come with the retainer ring, you have to sew the new boot onto the original retainer ring

Assuming that's the GT/XRS tranny, looks like GM part# 88970585, $50 at various online GM parts sites, or Toyota Part# 5880812230B0, $37 at various toyota parts sites.

No problem! Most of the online parts sites make it hard to view the part numbers (probably so you don't comparison shop) but it's usually there behind the scenes in the links.
