Same car, different body wrinkles! Springs for the 2010 Matrix will fit 2010 Vibe. Welcome to Genvibe! Do a before and after picture for us when you get to it.

No, they will not work. Any springs that are listed for the 2009+ Matrix are for the Base Models only and will not fit the GT/XRS and AWD Vibes/Matrices because they have IRS (Independent Rear Suspension). You need to get lowering springs for a 1st gen (2003-2008) Vibe/Matrix. Check out Matrix Owners for more information.

Also, here is a thread that shows a lowered 2009 Red Hot Metallic Vibe GT just like yours ;).

You could get the TRD lowering springs. vibedrivermatt lowered his 2009 2.4L Base with these springs. Ideally when lowering a vehicle you want to replace the shocks and struts with aftermarket ones that are made specifically for a lowered vehicle, but I don't think there are any companies that make aftermarket shocks and struts like these for the 2009-2010 Vibe/2009+ Matrix. You should be alright with just the springs. Your shocks and struts will probably just wear out a little sooner than they would with factory springs. Again, I would recommend checking out Matrix Owners though as there aren't very many members here who have lowered their 2009-2010 Vibes and those that have don't really post too much, if at all. There is much more information and opinions to be found on this topic on MO.

If memory serves, the Vibe has 5.5" clearance from the factory. I personally would never lower the car. My front factory optional mud guards have probably worn off about 3/4" since installed. They rub on harder cornering.

Have to agree there... lower only if you live where roads are tabletop smooth and you never see snow. I increased my clearance a bit with 215/60 16 snows. Helps keep the bottom of the car from scooping too much snow.

I've done the lowering thing with my previous two vehicles and I personally enjoy not bottoming out all the time in the Vibe. IMO the Vibe rides a little stiff as a lowered vehicle would but without the ride height issues, bottoming out, etc. I guess I'm just getting too old for all that kind of stuff :|.

I'm considering lowering a little even though it means I won't be able to fit under my car anymore.

So please- I'm a little new to lowering and this whole "matrix/vibe but not vibe Gt" thing is confusing the crud outta me. Would love to just buy some springs and get on with enjoying my car ha! Are these compatible as you mentioned I should get 1st gen springs for my 09 vibe gt? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tein-03-08-PONT ... 7f&vxp=mtr" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Honestly, I am not 100% sure as my 2009 Vibe GT is not lowered and never will be. To get a better, more definitive answer, I recommend checking out Matrix Owners as a lot more members over there have lowered their 2009+ Matrices and can better answer your suspension-related questions.
