2009-10 Cabin Air Filters

I checked my cabin air filter the other day and it was pretty disgusting. I'm pretty sure it was the OEM, never been changed in 5 years/98k miles:

I ordered two replacements from Amazon. The first, a Wix 24483 ($11):

The second, a TYC 800025P ($10). Note this is different than what Amazon says should fit (800038P)! It seemed very flimsy to me. I decided to use the Wix.

Nice price on those filters BUT not sure how much better/worse they are compared to OEM ones

I spent a few more $$$ for the Toyota OEM filters. Haven't put them in yet. Spring time I will along with a complete cleaning & detailing

I continue to trim mine from high quality furnace filters and replace it every 6 months.

Can you let me know what is the correct direction of the air flow?
From bottom to top, or from top to bottom?

Top to bottom. All the crap collects on top.
