Blast from the past

I was doing some cleaning around the office and found some really old stuff... I found someone stashed away a copy of the automotive section from the local newspaper dated April 12, 2002...
Vibe gets honorable mention (it looked better! Duh!)
It was interesting flipping through there and seeing how little cars cost back then, and the many now-defunct models/brands.

Nice article back then. I always come across old articles while "cleaning house" and for some reason, once I discover these interesting articles, NO cleaning gets done

It's never too late to educate the brain

Neat! However, I'm pretty sure the AWD system is full-time. That is, full-time in the way a Subaru is full-time. It
is full time in that you never have to turn it on. But it is a very fair and straightforward article, even getting into why the AWD has less power.
Not bad scrutiny on the design, either

I personally find the Matrix a good Toyota design. Not too bland, and enough sporty pretensions. But they ruined it by not offering the XR as the base, and letting the ugly "base" base Matrices out into the wild.

2002 is not that old for packratism. I found tax returns in the rental property that the parental units had stashed in a closet dating back to...

1964

when they were stationed at Twentynine Palms.
I finally had to haul them to work to shred them all.
I doubt the IRS wants them back a half century later.
