Cat Convertor Problems '03 GT

Hi All--
Has anyone had a problem like this? In June I found out I needed a new cat convertor. The mechanic could not get a convertor with pipe flanges that fit -- the manufacturer finally had to custom make the pipe. Now it turns out the convertor has a crack in it. I don't know if that had to do with the fact that it was custom.
